As a lone Boutique freeride ski shop in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Whistler Tmc Freeriderz has kinda avoided that corporate-takeover which small shops in towns and micro communities tend to have. Our shop on the contrary has always catered to people like us, even before there were people like ...us. We watched a little documentary called "the Corporation" the other night and this mindset is now permanently set in stone, if you have a chance I would check it out on youtube its a little long , but if your bored, do it. In short it gives you the facts straight from the people who used to run these corporate schemes. It all comes down to how much money they make in a quarter, and how much the investors make.....the recession is a result of purposeful collapsed corporate systems and hidden money laundering tactics on the upper level of the company. Consumers are mere pawns takin'n it without knowing it....dirty dirty dirty.
Make sure you know what your buying. check up on the intentions of the company.
and for those of you who are like us, and are wanting to start something cause you just have to (you believe in it with your heart)....do it! have a blast...and find people with that same mindset.
